Walnut 1934 Chevy Coupe Handmade by Ron Parker Image
Ron Parker retired to Ashland Oregon in 2004 after a 30 year career as a bank vice president in Chicago and San Francisco. His interest in woodworking goes back to his childhood on a farm in Illinois where his father repaired furniture and refinished antiques during the long winters.

Ron uses select pieces of beech, walnut, birch, cedar, Oak, alder and redwood to craft his antique preproduction cars, trucks, trains, boats, and airplanes. The clear lacquer finish that he uses enhances the natural colors of the different woods.

This particular model is made mostly of walnut with maple wheels, a steering wheel, gear shifter and head lamps.
He also makes custom designed bird houses.
